The RUCAS Model
In designing or revising a course, instructors are faced with at least three crucial decisions: what to teach and how to teach it, how to design and implement a course and how to ensure that students are learning what is being expected. We have worked out a seven step model to respond to these three critical questions (Figure 1.4). The suggestions below are designed to help RUCAS community of practice members revise their courses to address sustainability in the six prioritised academic disciplines. The subsequent modules follow-up the RUCAS model.
