Capacity-building
Capacity is one of the key conditions for successful implementation of curriculum reforms. The three RUCAS regional training workshops carried out were instrumental for building participated instructors’ capacities for implementing the revised courses. The focus of these workshops was placed on identifying the needs for turning faculty able to implement successfully the revised courses. This included training, in the curriculum revision processes and practices, the teaching and learning methodologies that are most suitable to sustainability education, planning the implementation process, etc. In general, capacity-building involves policies, strategies, resources and other actions that are aiming at increasing the capacity of faculty to implement the revision, implementation and evaluation of curriculum that addresses sustainability.
